Questions
Does this add VAT after the discount?
No. The result is the discounted price only. VAT depends on the country and on whether the shelf price already includes it.
Can the percent be more than 100?
The arithmetic still runs. A discount above 100 percent makes the amount to pay negative, which is a sign to check the percent.
