Gold price per gram
The box starts with today’s 24K price per gram in dirhams. That figure comes from the gold price in US dollars, converted at the UAE peg of 3.6725 dirhams per dollar, and it is cached for one day. 22K, 21K, and 18K are that price times the karat divided by 24. Type another price if you want a shop rate. The same number is shared with the zakat tool.

Is this today’s gold rate?
It is the latest daily spot, not a price that changes every minute and not a jewellery shop quote. The feed is read at most once a day. A price you type replaces it in this browser until you choose today’s rate again.
How is the jewellery total built?
Metal value, plus making charges as a percent of the metal or as dirhams per gram, then 5% VAT on the sum. A shop may quote making differently.
