UAE annual leave balance and encashment on basic salary, plus full-wage pay for days you take.
Annual leave in this estimate follows Article 29 of Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021. After one full year, the balance is 30 days for each year of service, including a fraction of the last year. From more than six months up to one year, it is two days a month. Encashment of days not taken uses basic salary ÷ 30, the same day rate as the gratuity tool. Pay for days you take as leave uses basic salary plus allowances, because leave itself is on full wage. A contract can be more generous. This is not a MOHRE ruling. End-of-service gratuity is the other tool.

This is an estimate, not legal, financial, or religious advice.
Article 29 pays annual leave on full wage while you take it, and calculates unused days when service ends on basic wage. Allowances stay in the leave-pay line and out of the encashment line.
The day before the first anniversary is still the two-days-a-month band. The anniversary moves to 30 days for that year. The jump is the statute’s two bands, and a partial month under one year is pro-rated with a 30-day month.
