Dubai rent increase
You enter the current annual rent and the average rent of a similar unit. The maximum increase follows Decree No. 43 of 2013. This page does not look up the official RERA index. That index sits with the Dubai Land Department, and the average you type has to come from there or from your own notes.

Questions
What are the slabs?
No increase when the rent is up to 10% below the average. Then 5% if it is up to 20% below, 10% up to 30% below, 15% up to 40% below, and 20% when it is more than 40% below. Rent already at or above the average cannot be increased under these slabs.
What does the notice check measure?
Whether the notice date is at least 90 days before the renewal date. Law No. 33 of 2008 says a party who wants to change the contract must notify the other at least 90 days before expiry, unless the contract agrees otherwise.
